About Tom…
I've been doing illustrative work in the New York area for 30 years. I graduated from the Alberta College of Art & Design and hold a Masters in Visual Journalism (MFAI) from School of Visual Arts. I've published widely in the United States news media with editorial illustration featured on the pages of The New York Times, Boston Globe,The Wall Street Journal,The Chicago Tribune, Newsday, The Village Voice, The L.A.Times, The Nation, The San Francisco Chronicle amongst many others. My work is syndicated by Now What Media via the INX group. I am privileged to be a tenured professor at St. John’s University, teaching Illustration. I also contribute a weekly editorial illustration to The Wave, New York City's oldest weekly newspaper. If there is a defining quality to what it is I do, its that I love to draw, dislike political and corporate corruption and intend to continue visually commenting and exploring the world this way.
